Lung Health Matters: A spotlight on the Healthy Lungs for Life campaign
The sixth episode of the Lung Health Matters podcast shines a spotlight on the Healthy Lungs for Life (HLfL) campaign, a joint ERS and European Lung Foundation (ELF) initiative. Host Prof. Monika Gappa (ERS Past President) is joined by Dr Mariëlle Pijnenburg (ERS Congress 2025 Chair) and Ed Powell (Chair of the ELF Youth Group).
The panel discusses the early life impact on lung health; building health messaging in young people; the HLfL campaign in schools; and, ahead of this year's ERS Congress in Amsterdam, the HLfL campaign's activities in the congress host city.
The Lung Health Matters podcast series concentrates on the important work ERS does to advocate for better respiratory health at EU level and beyond. Hosted by members of the ERS Advocacy Council and other topic experts, the podcast aims to outline current developments or areas of concern within defined policy areas, making clear the ERS position/call to action, what it means for clinicians and the impact on patients.
