Introduction: Probe based Confocal laser endomicroscopy (pCLE) a technique that allows us identify in real time, characteristic patterns produced by lung cancer with an adequate agreement with istopathological studies.
Methods: We included 24 patients diagnosed with lung tumors who underwent flexible bronchoscopy between October 2022-April 2023. pCLE was performed conformed protocols.
Results: Demographic data, bronchoscopic findings and histopathological diagnosis are shown in Table 1. In 18/24 patients with patterns of cell destruction suspicious of malignancy identified (Fig.1), pulmonary Neoplasia was confirmed (Fig.2).
Conclusions: The pCLE is a useful tool that allows to identify in real time areas suggestive of malignancy, serving as a guide for biopsies in bronchoscopy, thus optimizing the histological diagnosis of patients with lung tumors.
