Abstract

Introduction During the 5th wave of the COVID outbreak, Tele-Health services were developed to decrease disease transmission and to improve access to primary healthcare services.  Aims 1. evaluate the effectiveness and treatment adherence  2.To identify overall?s acceptance by patients and healthcare professionals. Method A telehealth element was formulated and integrated into the existing model of the COPD nurse clinic in February 2022. Telehealth assessment includes home respiratory equipment use and compliance monitoring, the inspiratory effort for adequate drug delivery, and inhalers return demonstration. HA Information Technology department was contacted for arrangements after the consensus was gained to align the practices across clusters in March 2022. A trial run was performed in May 2022  to test the wireless stability and barriers solution for the adoption of telemedicine practices. Result A prospective review for the services was started from June 2022 to Jan 2023. The surveys included 4 aspects and comprised 37 evaluative items. The categories were 1) Understanding COPD diseases treatment plan 2) Nurse clinic services 3) Tele-Consultation services 4) software utilization. 110 responses were collected. The total score in each category is 4 and the mean average scores were 3.8, 3.9, 3.95, and 3.85 respectively. 96.5% of respondents rating ?3.8. 99.5% of healthcare professionals reflected user-friendly and easy-to-use.Conclusion: Telehealth can lower the risks of disease transmission, improve access to primary healthcare services and eliminate the need for unnecessary traveling, queuing, and waiting.
