Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 during pregnancy remains one of the most important social and clinical problems.

Aim:to study the impact of transferred COVID-19 on the course of pregnancy (preg).

Methods: 68 medical records of pregnant(pr) women(w) with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 hospitalized at the perinatal center of City Clinical Hospital 9 in Dnipro (Ukraine) were analyzed: in 2021-39 w and in 2022-29 w, respectively.

Results: all pr.w. had moderate symptoms of COVID-19, clinical manifestations are presented in fig.1.In 2021, there were no people vaccinated against COVID-19, in 2022 ? 14 pr w were vaccinated. Among those hospitalized, there were 28 w. in the I trimester of preg, 16 in the I and 24 and 7 in the III, respectively. 7(10%) of pr. w. during the first 2 days were transferred to a specialized regional center due to worsening of their condition. 50(82%) pr. w. were treated and discharged with recovery under outpatient supervision. During observation, 3(6%) pr w developed anemia, 4(8%) developed hypertension during preg, whichis consistent with regional data. 11(18%) w. with coronavirus disease at the time of delivery gave birth. All w. who were under observation gave birth without complications at term. Cesarean sections were performed according to obstetric indications in 2(3.3%) w. in labor.

Conclusions: mild or moderate COVID-19 does not affect the occurrence of complications during preg. and childbirth.
