Estoril, your host city

West of Lisbon, where the Tagus estuary opens into the ocean, lies the Costa do Estoril - the "Portuguese Riviera". Close enough to the capital to be easily accessible, the towns of Estoril and Cascais boast all the facilities the modern traveller could wish for in a beautiful natural setting.

With its long tradition of hospitality, the Costa do Estoril is home to some of Portugal's best hotels and restaurants, which are renowned for their freshly caught, beautifully prepared seafood.

How to get there

Lisbon airport

Lisbon is a short flight away from most European cities and 6/8 hours from North America. Lisbon International Airport (approximately 20km from Estoril) has daily flights to and from many major cities around the world. In addition to the Portuguese airlines, all the major international carriers fly to and from Lisbon.

By taxi (approximately €50)

There is a taxi stand within the perimeter of the airport at arrivals level. If you decide to take a taxi, we suggest you ask the driver in advance about the fare.

The fare on the taxi meter should read €3.25 (daytime pick-up) or €3.90 (night time pick-up: 9pm-6am). Outside the city limits, the fare is calculated from the number of kilometres travelled and the established price per kilometre. Please note that luggage carries a surcharge of €1.60. The journey should cost around €55 and take around 30 minutes depending on traffic.

Alternatively, you may also purchase a taxi voucher at the at Turismo de Lisboa Askme Lisboa desk, located at Lisbon's Airport Arrivals Hall, with fixed prices. The daytime rate from Lisbon Airport to Estoril is €53.40, whilst the night time (9pm - 6am) rate is €64.

By public transport

There is a direct train from Cais do Sodré Train Station to Estoril, please follow this link for more information. To get to Cais do Sodré Train Station, you can take either a taxi or the AEROBUS running every 20 minutes from 07:00 to 23:00 (22:50 on weekends). The journey takes up to 30 minutes and cost €4.

Once at the station, take the train (one train every 20 minutes) towards Cascais and alight at Estoril. The station is by the waterfront and 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The journey takes 40 minutes and cost €2.40.
