10-12 April 2025 | Antwerp, Belgium

The eighth conference organised by the ERS and the ESRS

Clinical Cases

Why submit a clinical case?

The aim of the Sleep and Breathing conference is to support the exchange of knowledge among the international scientific community. Clinical cases are detailed reports of the symptoms, signs, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of an individual patient. They may contain a demographic profile of the patient, but usually describe an unusual or novel occurrence.

Accepted cases will be presented by the presenting author in Clinical update sessions.

Clinical case submission

The call for cases will be open from 19 September to 11 November 2024, 23:59 CET

Case authors will be asked to select the following topic areas when submitting their cases:

  • Obstructive sleep apnoea (including difficult to treat, residual sleepiness, combination therapies, and COMISA)
  • Central sleep apnoea (various forms, including the use of adaptive servo-ventilation)
  • Hypoventilation syndromes (including OHS, neuromuscular and chest wall disorders)
  • Sleep-disordered breathing in respiratory diseases (including OVS, IPF+ OSA, Asthma, and PH)

Online submission

You can submit your clinical case using myERS. If you do not already have an account, you will be required to create one. Once signed in, you should select the "ABSTRACTS/CASES" tab and click on "Sleep and Breathing conference".

Before you submit a clinical case, please read the instructions on how to write a good clinical case and the submission instructions. Further details are available on the submission platform.
