Session aims
to bring together leaders in the field to provide an overview of the clinical and research landscape in the era of highly effective cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulator therapy; to provide insights into disease mechanisms; to review progress in the development of small-molecule CFTR modulator therapies; to discuss and consider the needs of people with cystic fibrosis who are eligible for current CFTR modulators and the unmet needs of patients for whom CFTR-directed therapies are not available at present, highlight novel treatment approaches in development that could shape the future of clinical care and outline priorities for research.
