Panel discussion: identifying needs and creating a strategy for national IRC coalitions
Christine Harrison
Session aims
This session looks at the increased pressure on health systems in specific areas – such as the impact of seasonal burdens and dealing with the respiratory consequences of wildfires, and considers what role the International Respiratory Coalition can have in tackling these pressures. The International Respiratory Coalition (IRC) is a movement to transform respiratory outcomes in a post pandemic world. Led by the European Respiratory Society, the IRC is a multisectoral partnership bringing together the professional respiratory community, patients and industry. The IRC is currently supporting national-level coalitions, who have joined the movement, as they work towards developing/improving/implementing respiratory strategies based on best practice in their own countries.
