Session aims
to highlight the latest trends in lung cancer and pleural mesothelioma care. Adoption of emerging therapies such as immunotherapy in early-stage nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) represents a paradigm shift relative to the previous treatment algorithms. Individualised approaches in thoracic surgery and oligometastasic NSCLC are just finding their way into routine care. Likewise, malignant pleural effusion treatment and research of pleural mesothelioma are currently being redefined.
