Discussion and Q&A
Session aims
The digitalization of healthcare is slowly becoming one of the most impactful shifts in healthcare to date covering screening and diagnosing of diseases. In addition, data obtained from remote monitoring of positive airway pressure treatment contains a wealth of information that currently is underused in the field of sleep research. Therefore, Dr. Islind will talk about the digitalization of patient data for enhanced well-being in the sleep field and the collection of longitudinal data, as well as using the data for good. Dr. Pépin will discuss how improving the quality and standardizing data handling could facilitate data sharing among specialists worldwide and enable artificial intelligence strategies to be applied in the field of sleep apnea. Dr. Gozal will talk about the recent efforts to develop machine learning approaches to sleep apnea in children when relying on restricted signal acquisition.
