Overview

Interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) are a global burden associated with high morbidity and mortality, and impact on quality of life. Yet, there are significant differences with regards to management, risk factors and complications. In this webinar, the topic of the coming ERS conference on global differences and similarities in lung diseases will be discussed with regards to different ILDs and complications on the basis of three established ILD registries in collaboration with colleagues from ALAT (Latin American Thoracic Association) and APSR (Asian Pacific Society of Respirology).

Topics:

  • Acute exacerbations of ILDs in Asia: Similarities and differences to non-asian populations - Yasuhiro Kondoh
  • Learnings from the Latin American Thoracic Association (ALAT) Interstitium Diffuse ILD Registry (also known as the EPID Registry) - Matias Florenzano Valdes
  • Newest insights from a European registry on fibrotic ILDs compared to IPF - Juergen Behr

Format

One-hour webinar format: 45 minutes for presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session.

What is a webinar?

A webinar closely simulates a lecture-based teaching experience. The speaker can interact with the audience, just as in a classroom setting. During the webinar, you will be asked to share your opinion on issues related to the topic using interactive polls.

All participants will be able to hear the lecturer and see the slides throughout the presentation. As a participant you will be able to pose questions or discuss ideas with the other participants via the text chat facility and the speaker will respond to the questions via the microphone.
