Severe allergic asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition of airways associated with a range of symptoms. Exposure to sensitizing allergen is followed by a chain of downstream reactions leading to release of IgE. This video highlights the role of IgE as a central player in the propagation of allergic response in patients with asthma.
