Bronchoscopy in difficult situations

The latest episode of Curbside Consult focuses on bronchoscopy in difficult situations.

Co-hosts Dr Emer Kelly (St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland) and Prof. Sean Gaine (The Mater Hospital, Dublin, Ireland) are joined by Associate Prof. Konstantina Kontogianni (University of Heidelberg, Germany).

Emer, Sean and Konstantina discuss the case of a 32-year-old female non-smoker with hemoptysis. The patient has undertaken a chest x-ray at a rapid-access clinic. The chest x-ray shows a small amount of atelectasis and the patient is required to have a bronchoscopy. During bronchoscopy, a polypoid lesion is found that looks vascular. What should be done?
