Registered participants will have the opportunity to attend a Masterclass for an additional fee, taking place one day prior to the 2025 Sleep and Breathing conference at the Antwerp University Hospital (UZA).
During this masterclass, the validity of some techniques used to phenotype individual patients will be discussed. Focus will be on topodiagnosis and pathophysiological treats. Also, the application of routine and more advanced innovative tools will be addressed. After this masterclass, participants will be able to appreciate these techniques and to use the results for better patient selection and treatment outcome.
The concept of phenotyping of OSA patients has gained interest last decades. The techniques used to describe the differences between individual OSA patients, based on topodiagnosis, can be used to better describe the respiratory disturbances and the burden of the disease. Clinicians have to be informed about the opportunities and validity of these techniques.
