to discuss effective studies on phenotypes and endotypes of airway diseases, the novel, discovered underlying pathologies and novel therapies based on longitudinal cohorts; to present the long-term effects of different therapies; to explain input of longitudinal cohorts to our current knowledge about airway diseases; to critically review the setting up and results of four main longitudinal cohorts.
