Session aims
to discuss and consider what mild asthma represents and how to address it; to discuss how international guidelines, the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) and the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program (NAEPP) address the definitions of asthma control, asthma severity and future risks; to discuss the reality and perspective of mild asthma; to answer the question of whether the term ‘mild’ asthma has clinical utility or whether alternative terms are needed.
