Overview

The European Lung Foundation (ELF) will host its annual Bronchiectasis Patient Conference on 23 March, 2024.

 

The event will be beneficial for professionals to attend and is open to anyone interested in learning more about bronchiectasis. It will provide insight into the latest clinical findings, treatment and research, alongside real-life patient stories, plus resources and information to help patients live their life well.

The conference has been developed with and supported by EMBARC, a pan-European network, and the ELF Bronchiectasis Patient Advisory Group. A live transcription service will allow participants to generate captions in more than 50 languages.


This event is free to attend, but registration is required.

  • Respiratory professionals specialising in airway diseases, particularly bronchiectasis

  • Early career researchers
  • Patients

 

Format

There will be a mix of live talks and videos from both bronchiectasis patients and medical experts on:

 

  • Basic overview for those recently diagnosed or those who need more general information
  • Resources and information to help patients live their life well
  • Bronchiectasis and the future - exciting updates on treatment, research and what lies ahead
  • How to live with bronchiectasis and another airway disease like asthma or COPD
  • Living with the additional challenges of bronchiectasis (sinus, gut, wellbeing etc)
  • Airway clearance - making decisions about the devices and methods available
  • Inspiring stories of what has helped people with bronchiectasis
