Session aims
To present pros and cons of the concept of a "smoke-free generation" which typically refers to a societal goal of reducing or eliminating smoking and tobacco use among young people to create a generation that is largely free from the health risks associated with smoking; to discuss ipros and cons of implementation of the policies and interventions aimed at preventing young people from starting to smoke, as well as supporting current smokers to quit; to explain advantages and barriers for the process of creating a smoke-free generation that can have significant public health benefits, reducing the prevalence of smoking-related diseases and improving overall population health.
