Session aims
To discuss the potential benefits and limitations of new technologies and data analysis methods for automated sleep studies. What are the dangers of Level 3 and especially Level 4 sleep studies in the wrong setting? What benefits can new technologies and especially new analysis algorithms and artificial intelligence in the diagnosis of sleep-related breathing disorders bring if they are used in a targeted manner? What benefits can they bring in the age of individualised therapy concepts and for a possible endotype- and phenotype-based therapeutic strategy, or do they rather limit this approach?
