Session aims
To cover the existing situation of lung cancer screening (LCS) in Europe and provide a gap analysis identifying existing needs to be addressed based on the first results of SOLACE (European Respiratory Society-led European Union-funded project), the new pan-European LCS guidelines (to be finalised in the first quarter of 2024), quality standards and quality assurance processes in LCS, and standard operating procedures and service specifications of LCS programmes, with the view to offer practical information for pragmatic implementation and setting-up of LCS programmes in a real clinical setting.
