to present increasing evidence of clinical traits that may predict asthma; to discuss the new respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine which has the potential to change the epidemiology of RSV infections in infants and newborns and may also impact asthma development; to discus potential impacts; to discuss the Global Initiative for Asthma guidelines that provide evidence-based recommendations for the treatment of asthma and related controversy about how to implement these recommendations in daily practice.
