To describe the impact of Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) on the burden of disease and prognosis in patients with COPD, explain the cardiovascular risk associated with exacerbations of COPD, identify strategies for early diagnosis of CVDs in patients with COPD, and list innovative pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions to reduce cardiovascular risk in patients with COPD.
