To explain the central role of the pulmonary vascular endothelium in the development of lung diseases; to present novel insights from genomics and other omics: will this lead to precision medicine in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension?; to understand the potential role of adaptive trial design in rare diseases such as pulmonary hypertension; to discuss the potential role of interventional cardiology in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension.
