Session aims
To provide an overview of research advances pertaining to respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)-related acute respiratory infection for specialist and non-specialist delegates; to provide insights into mechanisms of disease, review progress in the management of acute disease and the development and implementation of novel preventive strategies, consider the long-term impact of RSV infection, provide an overview of the global burden of RSV, and outline challenges and priorities for research, clinical practice and health policy.
