Session aims
To convene paediatricians and adult physicians working in the field to identify the most relevant common points, differences and knowledge gaps about disease biology, clinical presentation and management at different stages of life; to review transition protocols already established for other respiratory diseases and to identify elements applicable to bronchiectasis; to compare real-life transition experiences between different geographic contexts; to facilitate the creation of working groups focusing on clinical and translational studies of the evolution of bronchiectasis with paediatric onset, especially during adolescence. The key findings emerging from the discussion could be collected to write a report/expert consensus.
