Session aims
Women are underrepresented in many studies on sleep disorders and there are not only differences between the sexes in terms of prevalence of the various sleep disorders, pathomechanisms and long-term outcomes, but also particular aspects and differences across the life course of women, including differences between pre- and postmenopausal status and characteristics during menopause or pregnancy. This session will provide an overview of the different forms of sleep disorders in the life course of adult women and discuss specific aspects of different sleep-related breathing disorders in women.
