Session aims
The aims of the session are to give an update on the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the cerebral repercussions of sleep apnoea, present the continuum of the neurocognitive repercussions of obstructive sleep apnoea from dysexecutive syndrome to dementia, present the clinically available tools to evaluate neurocognitive impairment in OSA, give an update on the pathophysiology of excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) in OSA, its epidemiology and consequences, and present the tools to assess sleepiness in OSA and the impact of OSA treatment on EDS.
