Session aims
Discussion of newer OSA severity markers and their prognostic relevance and significance in different OSA subtypes. In addition to the apnoea-hypopnoea-index and the hypoxaemia-related markers (oxygen-desaturation-index, time with SpO2 <90%, hypoxemic burden), further physiological signals from sleep studies are available, in particular for autonomic cardiovascular function. Their additional benefits and limitations in certain populations will be demonstrated and critically discussed.
