Session aims
to raise awareness of morbidity and mortality due to respiratory diseases worldwide; to discuss the early-life determinants of respiratory health and potential preventive measures, with a focus on low-to-middle-income countries (LMICs); to discuss how to reduce mortality from pneumonia, which is the leading cause of death in children younger than 5 years; to provide insight into how the World Health Organization (WHO) works and how it aims to reduce the morbidity and mortality of respiratory diseases; to provide inspiration from a lawyer fighting climate change.
