to enhance understanding of the influence of biological sex on metabolic processes and immune responses in driving sex dimorphism in respiratory disease, the role of sex steroids (hormones) and chromosomes in respiratory disease, and sex-related differences in proteins, signalling pathways, epigenetics and cellular crosstalk in respiratory disease.
