Session aims
to focus on the latest innovations in pulmonary vascular imaging, including computed tomography (CT) angiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), point-of-care ultrasound, and the integration of artificial intelligence; to discuss the significant roles of single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/ventilation-perfusion (VQ) and positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in evaluating pulmonary embolism and vascular inflammation given that a solid understanding of these imaging modalities is essential for respiratory physicians and allied professionals to enhance diagnostic accuracy, guide clinical management and improve patient outcomes in conditions like pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension; to focus on the growing role of AI in the imaging modalities discussed.
