Session aims
This session aims to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for lung cancer. It will cover navigation to small peripheral lung lesions and tissue acquisition using TBNA, forceps, and cryobiopsy, along with immediate assessment of sample adequacy for cytology (ROSE) and histology using Higher Harmonic Generation microscopy. The session will also demonstrate systematic EBUS and EUS-B of mediastinal and hilar nodal stations, including real-time cytological assessment (ROSE). Finally, it will explain the indications for video-assisted segmentectomy and demonstrate the procedural flow for parenchyma-sparing lung tumour resection.
