Session aims
to explore the key social, economic and environmental determinants contributing to inequities in respiratory infections globally; to highlight the burden of preventable deaths from respiratory diseases among vulnerable populations, including children; to address the healthcare challenges faced by migrant populations and minorities in accessing timely and adequate treatment for respiratory infections, with a focus on tuberculosis; to discuss disparities in the availability of diagnostics, treatments and long-term care for cystic fibrosis worldwide.
