Session aims
to emphasise that setting up a pulmonary embolism response team (PERT) is not about creating a rigid structure but fostering multidisciplinary collaboration for comprehensive pulmonary embolism (PE) care; to demonstrate how PERTs improve patient care by enhancing anticoagulation practices and facilitating access to advanced therapies; to highlight PERTs as a platform for conducting clinical trials and fostering collaborative research in PE management; to explore how PERTs can serve as a foundation for establishing dedicated post-PE follow-up programmes to improve long-term patient outcomes.
