Session aims
to highlight the epidemiological and pathophysiological differences between the sexes in sleep-disordered breathing and chronic respiratory failure and to critically discuss how these affect symptoms and treatment outcomes.; to identify the gaps in knowledge on sex differences in obstructive sleep apnoea, central sleep apnoea syndromes and obesity-related respiratory failure, to determine future research priorities in these areas.
