Overview

Currently, the therapeutic concepts of the early-stage Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) are being fundamentally redefined. Multidisciplinary, much more individualized treatment algorithms will broaden the therapeutic spectrum and at the same time rely on close collaboration across disciplines.

Educational aims

This webinar will provide detailed insights on the current evidence translating into personalized treatment strategies in the multi-disciplinary management of early-stage NSCLC. The subsequent panel discussion of selected patient cases will highlight different treatment approaches and alternatives.

Topics

  • Thoracic surgery vs. stereotactic radiotherapy for stage I NSCLC/suspicious solitary pulmonary nodule
  • Latest advances in thoracic surgery for early-stage NSCLC therapy, i.e. sublobar resections
  • Latest advances in radiotherapy for early-stage NSCLC therapy
  • Latest advances in neoadjuvant and adjuvant systemic therapies
  • Personalized multidisciplinary treatment strategies

Learning outcomes

  • Know about modern treatment algorithms in early-stage NSCLC
  • Know about essential criteria to decide on best personalized treatment options in early-stage NSCLC
  • Understand the importance and complexity of multidisciplinary teamplay in early-stage NSCLC management
