Transportation

London is served by several airports, including London Heathrow Airport (LHR), London Gatwick Airport (LGW), and London Stansted Airport (STN).

There are several ways to reach the Royal College of Physicians from the airport:

  • BY TAXI

Official London taxis are the black cabs. You can catch them at the airport, a train station, a tube station, or a bus stop. If you decide to take a taxi, we suggest that you ask the driver in advance about the fare.

Cost

  • Fares are calculated by the meter based on distance and time.
  • Additional surcharges apply for pick-up or drop-off at airports.
  • Typical fares vary depending on the time of day and day of the week:
  • Daytime (Mon-Fri, 8:00-20:00): approximately £6-£9.40 per mile.
  • Evenings and weekends: approximately £8.40-£11.00 per mile.
  • Night (22:00-5:00) and public holidays: approximately £8.40-£12.00 per mile.

Networking Events and Meals

  • OPENING SESSION (for all delegates)

The opening session of the conference on Wednesday, 15 July, will take place at 13:30, followed by a session and an Industry session.

 

  • MEALS DURING THE CONFERENCE (for all delegates)

Lunches and coffee-breaks will be served throughout the conference for all delegates of the conference.
